I have learned in the past that discrimination in the work place is very common, even today. What can we do about this? How do we try to control it to minimize discrimination? What can potential employers do? Are these employers/business owners following rules, policy, laws, etc.?

Well if the world was perfect, then I would have a solution to your problem. But here's the thing--it's 2007 and racism and all discrimination is still real and prevailing. You can't stop it from happening, all you can do is try to regulate it because no matter what you do, there will always be a bigot with a smart mouth
